Sending you a Rose
A Rose

I’m sending you a rose today
It is a perfect one
For it will last forever
Not unlike a mother’s love
Standing the test of time

Held within its petals
All my good intentions are stored
To tell a loving mother
Just how much she is adored

As the beauty of it’s imagined fragrance
The perfume of love
Permeates the air
Be reminded that I love you
How much I truly care

How I wish I could be there
To hand deliver this gift
See the look of your surprise
The familiar curve of the smile
I know will frame your face
And the look of love
I know will shine from your eyes

I share this small form of thank you
For all you do & give
The talents & strengths you’ve encouraged
For loving me a lifetime
The sacrifices untold
With love only a mother can give
Could grace look so bold

Never can I repay
The love that you have shown
So I’ll simply say I love you!
That you mean more to me
Than ever you could know
