Waiting Room

Wait I do
In the waiting room.
With personified patience
As the clock ticks
Wasted time.

While inside
I am with anticipation
And impatience churning.
Wanting to soon get back.

Here I sit
And here I wait
What fate I do not know.

Overwhelming anger starts to build
Wondering why must I wait
I was scheduled at 12:45.
What is this silly charade.

Just as I think no longer can I stand this,
They call my name aloud.
Dear, please come in,
We're sorry for the wait.

Relieved I am,
To finally get in
Happily I assume my wait is over.

But to my dismay
I wait again
In the examine room
For another half an hour.
